What is Dreamforce?
Dreamforce is Salesforce's annual customer and partner conference in San Francisco. The 2026 dates used across conference calendars are 15 to 17 September. It is a product and ecosystem week for people who already buy or sell Salesforce, not a general founder fair. TechCrunch Disrupt follows in the same city in October. Hotel inventory in SoMa does not recover in a month.
Who goes to Dreamforce?
Salesforce customers, partners, admins, consultants and the vendors who live on AppExchange. If you do not work in that ecosystem, the week is expensive noise. If you do, the keynotes and the campus are the reason to go, and most breakouts are recorded.
Dreamforce side events
Trailblazer parties, partner houses and customer dinners fill SoMa and the Mid-Market hotels. Search Dreamforce side event and you will find a second conference. None of it is run by Aspire. Official sessions sit on the Dreamforce site.

Register on salesforce.com/dreamforce. Confirm the live pass price and the 2026 dates there before you fly. Stay in SoMa. September in San Francisco is still jacket weather. Book the hotel when you book the pass. Disrupt in October uses the same neighbourhood.

Getting to Moscone Center and Salesforce Tower campus
Moscone is walkable from Powell BART. SFO is the airport. Do not rent a car. The campus sprawl between Moscone and Salesforce Tower is the hidden walk.
Where to stay for Dreamforce
SoMa. Union Square is the overflow. A hotel in the Marina during Dreamforce is how people spend the week in Ubers.
What to know before booking Dreamforce
Dreamforce soaks San Francisco. A founder flying in for Disrupt in October should not assume September leftovers. The two events are a month apart and both treat Moscone as home.

Is Dreamforce a startup conference?
No. It is an ecosystem conference for people who buy, implement or sell Salesforce. Founders who want VCs and Battlefield should look at TechCrunch Disrupt in October, not at this week.
Does Dreamforce clash with Disrupt?
They are a month apart in the same neighbourhood. Dreamforce is mid-September. Disrupt is 13 to 15 October at Moscone West. You can do both. Hotels will not thank you.
Where is Dreamforce held?
Moscone Center and the Salesforce Tower campus in SoMa, San Francisco. The campus spreads across several buildings, so budget walking time rather than the map distance. Powell BART is the usual arrival. Confirm the live campus map on the official site.
Should I go if I do not use Salesforce?
No. The value is in the product announcements, the partner ecosystem and the customers who already buy it. Without that, it is a very large, very expensive SoMa week with little you can use on Monday.
