What is IBW?

Istanbul Blockchain Week is Türkiye's flagship Web3 conference, produced by EAK Digital. The 2026 edition, the fifth, ran 2 to 3 June at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti in Şişli. The official site still leads on those dates. The organiser has said 2027 is already in motion and has not named a week. Until they do, the facts below are the 2026 edition: a two-day hotel conference, not a city-wide week in the TOKEN2049 sense.

Who goes to IBW?

Founders and operators selling into Türkiye and the wider Eurasian corridor, plus the funds, exchanges and regional KOLs who work that market. The closed-door Istanbul Institutional Markets Summit is the institutional room. The free Community Pass is the public floor. If you need Gulf capital in spring, that is a different trip. If you need this market, this is the room that actually sits in it.

IBW side events

IBW publishes named programmes of its own rather than a third-party Luma sheet: Istanblock as the main summit, the Istanbul Institutional Markets Summit, an Endeavor Türkiye pitch competition, masterclasses and roundtables, and Blockdown as the culture night. Search Istanbul Blockchain Week side event and you will still find dinners and meetups on Luma that are not on that list. Aspire does not run those nights.

IBW tickets and costs

The 2026 Community Pass was free and covered the exhibition floor and the main stage, with limited availability. Connector was 399 dollars and added the networking app, lunch, two masterclasses and the 3 June afterparty. Dealmaker was 699 dollars. VIP was 1,999 dollars and was the tier that opened the Institutional Markets Summit. Those prices are the 2026 list. Do not treat them as a 2027 quote. Stay in Şişli or Osmanbey so you are walking distance from Bomonti. Taksim is close. The European side beats a daily Bosphorus crossing.

Getting to Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel and Conference Center

Hilton Bomonti is in Şişli on the European side, on Silahşör Caddesi. Istanbul Airport (IST) to Şişli is 40 to 70 minutes by car depending on traffic, longer at peak. The M2 metro to Osmanbey plus a short walk is the reliable option once you are in the city. Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) on the Asian side is a longer transfer and a worse idea if you are only coming for two days.

Where to stay for IBW

Stay in Şişli, Osmanbey or Nişantaşı and you can walk. Taksim works. A hotel on the Asian side looks cheaper until you count two Bosphorus crossings a day in June traffic. The venue hotel fills for the week. Book it or book next door, not across the water.

What to know before booking IBW

The free pass is the floor, not the conference. The meetings, the IIMS room and the Dealmaker breakfasts sat on paid tiers. Booking Community and expecting Dealmaker access is how people leave disappointed. 2027 dates are not a thing you can fly against yet. Wait for the official site rather than an aggregator repeating June by habit.
