What is NRF Big Show?

NRF's Retail's Big Show is the US retail industry's annual gathering in New York each January. The 2027 dates are 10 to 12 January. The theme is Fast Forward. It is a membership show: retailers pay one scale, vendors pay another, and a free expo pass exists for qualifying retailers until late December. Aspire does not run it.

Who goes to NRF Big Show?

Retailers, brands, retail-media networks and the vendors selling into store, supply chain and commerce media. If you sell to consumers directly and have never sat in a buying office, this is a trade show, not a festival. If you sell software or logistics into retail, this is the January room that matters in the US.

NRF Big Show side events

NRF publishes named add-ons rather than a Luma sheet: Commerce Media Saturday on 9 January at Lavan New York, Supply Chain Sunday, AI Monday, expo tours and store tours. The Opening Party and Retail's Big Dance Party sit on the main pass. Search NRF Big Show side event and you will still find vendor breakfasts that are not on that list. Aspire does not run those nights.

NRF Big Show tickets and costs

Register on nrfbigshow.nrf.com. You need an NRF account. Retail members pay 1,100 dollars All-Access if they book by 2 October 2026, then the price steps up. Non-retail non-members pay 3,800 dollars All-Access, limited to two people per company. Qualifying retailers can walk the expo free until 30 December 2026. January in New York is cold. Stay in Midtown near Javits if that is still the hall, and confirm the building on the official site before you book.

Getting to New York City

Most Big Show years use the Javits Center on 11th Avenue. Confirm 2027 on the official site before you treat that as given. JFK, Newark and LaGuardia all work. The subway plus a walk from 34th Street is the reliable option. A taxi from Midtown at peak is slow.

Where to stay for NRF Big Show

Midtown west, walking distance of Javits if that is the hall. Hudson Yards and the 34th Street hotels are the default. A Brooklyn hotel looks cheaper and costs you an hour in January weather. Book with the official hotel block.

What to know before booking NRF Big Show

The free pass is the expo, not the keynotes. Vendors who register as retailers get caught. NRF checks eligibility. The vendor rate is the one that applies if you sell into retail rather than run stores.

What runs alongside NRF Big Show

Named events on their own dates, and in several cases their own tickets. Booking the main days only is how people miss them.
