The numbers

Every figure links to where it came from. Attendance for an event that has not happened is a projection, and each row says so rather than presenting it as a count.

What it is

re:Invent is Amazon Web Services' annual cloud and AI conference in Las Vegas. The 2026 dates are 30 November to 4 December. The official page leads on 60,000-plus attendees. Sessions run across multiple Strip properties. It is a training and product-launch week for people who already buy AWS, not a general startup fair.

Who goes

Cloud architects, partner companies, and the vendors who sell into that stack. If you do not work on or sell around AWS, the week is mostly noise. If you do, the catalogue is the reason to go, and it is too large to walk without a plan. Sunday 29 November is badge pickup, not the first keynote.

Side events

Search AWS re:Invent side event and you will find a second conference made of vendor parties, happy hours and off-Strip dinners, none of them run by AWS. They appear on Luma, on company pages and in the community planners that sit beside the official catalogue. The official agenda already includes AWS networking slots. The unofficial ones fill Venetian, Caesars and anywhere a shuttle can reach. There is no single official side-event sheet. Book the nights you care about before you land. Aspire does not run those nights.

Tickets and costs

Register on the AWS events site. Early-bird windows close. Community recaps put starting pass prices around a thousand dollars before workshops. Stay on the Strip properties AWS is actually using this year. Mandalay Bay was reported out of the 2026 rotation, with Caesars in. Confirm the venue list on the official page before you book a hotel that is no longer on a shuttle. Walking between venues at peak is the hidden cost.

Worth knowing before you book

You cannot attend 2,000 sessions. Pick a track. Most breakouts are recorded. The meetings that are not recorded are the vendor side events and the hallway. Budget feet, not optimism. Las Vegas in early December is cold at night on the Strip.

Last checked against its sources on 19 August 2026. Dates and ticket tiers are set by Amazon Web Services and can change. Confirm on the official site before booking travel.
