What is ADIPEC?

ADIPEC is the energy industry's largest annual gathering, run by dmg events at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. The 2026 dates are 2 to 5 November. On the organiser's own figures it is the biggest event in this directory by attendance, at more than 239,000. It has two distinct halves: an enormous exhibition floor of equipment, services and technology, and a separate paid conference of 16,500-plus delegates across 13 programmes.

Who goes to ADIPEC?

National and international oil companies, service and equipment providers, engineering contractors, and increasingly the renewables, hydrogen and decarbonisation side of energy. The official site cites 54 participating NOCs, IOCs and their national and international equivalents, alongside government ministers. It is a state-adjacent event in a way most conferences here are not.

ADIPEC side events

Abu Dhabi fills with corporate hospitality, national delegation receptions and contractor dinners across the week, and much of the genuinely significant activity happens in private meeting rooms and majlis settings rather than on the floor. The scale of the exhibition means the surrounding programme is correspondingly large. Aspire does not run any of it.

ADIPEC tickets and costs

There are two products: visitor registration for the exhibition and a separately booked delegate pass for the conference. Prices were not published on the page checked, so none are quoted here. Distinguish the two before booking, because they are not the same thing. Abu Dhabi in early November is pleasant, in the high twenties to low thirties, which is why the regional conference calendar clusters there.

Getting to Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre

Abu Dhabi's Zayed International airport is roughly 20 to 25 minutes from ADNEC by road. Dubai is about 90 minutes away, and a meaningful number of attendees commute in daily during the week, which makes the inter-emirate road busy at peak. There is no rail link, so budget road time.

Where to stay for ADIPEC

Abu Dhabi city or the hotels adjacent to ADNEC. Rooms across the emirate tighten sharply during ADIPEC week given the scale of attendance, and the overflow reaches Dubai. Booking early matters more here than at almost any other event in this directory, purely because of the numbers involved.

What to know before booking ADIPEC

The attendance figure is for the exhibition, not the conference. Reading 239,000 as conference attendance overstates it by an order of magnitude - the conference is 16,500 delegates. The organiser also does not state which edition the headline figures come from, which is worth knowing before quoting them. ADNEC is very large and the 13 conference programmes run in parallel, so plan the specific track you need.
