Microsoft Ignite by the numbers
Every figure links to where it came from. Attendance for an event that has not happened is a projection, and each row says so rather than presenting it as a count.
- DatesWeek of 17 Nov
Microsoft's official save-the-date. Third-party listings state 17 to 20 November; Microsoft's own wording is less specific, so this page follows Microsoft. Microsoft Ignite

- Pass priceNot verified
Third-party sites quote figures around $2,325 in person and $1,625 hub-only. None of that is confirmed by Microsoft on the pages checked, so this directory does not present it as fact. Microsoft Ignite

A no-cost online experience covering keynotes and streamed sessions is widely reported and consistent with prior editions, but was not confirmed on the official pages checked here. Microsoft Ignite
What is Microsoft Ignite?
Microsoft Ignite is Microsoft's conference for IT professionals and developers working across Azure, Microsoft 365, security and its AI stack. The 2026 edition is at the Moscone Center in San Francisco during the week of 17 November. It is the enterprise counterpart to Build, which targets developers earlier in the year, and the venue for most of Microsoft's significant enterprise and infrastructure announcements.
Who goes to Microsoft Ignite?
IT administrators, cloud architects, security teams, Microsoft partners and enterprise developers. It is a technical and certification-oriented audience rather than a business-development one, with hands-on labs and sessions run by Microsoft product teams. Partners make up a substantial share and have historically received discounted or complimentary passes through their partner agreements.
Microsoft Ignite side events
San Francisco fills that week with partner receptions, ISV dinners and vendor parties across SoMa and Union Square, none of them on Microsoft's official programme. Because the Microsoft partner ecosystem is enormous, the unofficial schedule is dense and much of it is invitation-only through partner relationships. Aspire does not run any of it.
Microsoft Ignite tickets and costs
Register through ignite.microsoft.com. Pass prices circulating on third-party listing sites are not confirmed by Microsoft and this page does not repeat them as fact - check the official registration page for the real figure. A free digital experience covering keynotes and streamed sessions has been offered in prior years and is widely reported for 2026. San Francisco in November is cool and often wet.
- In-person passNot verified
Third-party sites quote around $2,325, and a hub-only pass around $1,625. Neither figure was confirmed by Microsoft on the pages checked on 30 August 2026, so neither is presented here as the price. Microsoft Ignite
Getting to Moscone Center
San Francisco International is about 30 minutes to SoMa by road or roughly the same on BART to Powell or Montgomery, both a short walk from Moscone. Oakland is a viable alternative. The Moscone Center is in the middle of SoMa and walkable from most downtown hotels.
Where to stay for Microsoft Ignite
SoMa and Union Square put you walking distance from Moscone. Rates rise sharply for Moscone events and November is a busy month for the venue. Mission Bay and the Embarcadero are workable alternatives a short ride out. Book against the official room block if Microsoft opens one.
What to know before booking Microsoft Ignite
Be careful with the dates. Microsoft's own wording is the week of 17 November rather than a hard four-day range, while third-party sites confidently publish 17 to 20 November and describe an optional pre-day on the 16th. Those may well be right, but they are not Microsoft's published position, and this directory follows the organiser. Confirm before booking flights.
Microsoft Ignite: common questions
When is Microsoft Ignite 2026?
The week of 17 November 2026 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Microsoft's own save-the-date uses that wording rather than fixed dates. Third-party listings state 17 to 20 November, which is plausible but not Microsoft's published position.
How much does Microsoft Ignite cost?
Microsoft had not published a confirmed price on the pages checked for this entry. Third-party sites quote roughly $2,325 in person and $1,625 hub-only, but those are unverified and this page does not present them as fact.
Is there a free way to attend Microsoft Ignite?
A no-cost digital experience covering keynotes and streamed sessions has been offered at previous editions and is widely reported for 2026, though it was not confirmed on the official pages checked here. Verify on ignite.microsoft.com before planning around it.
What is the difference between Ignite and Build?
Ignite targets IT professionals, administrators and enterprise architects working with Azure, Microsoft 365 and security. Build is the developer conference held earlier in the year. Enterprise infrastructure and security announcements generally land at Ignite.
Who organises Microsoft Ignite?
Microsoft runs it as its own first-party enterprise conference. Aspire has no role in organising it. The official site is ignite.microsoft.com, and registration should be made there rather than through any third-party reseller.
Do Microsoft partners get discounted passes?
Partners have historically received discounted or complimentary passes through their partner agreements rather than through public pricing. If your organisation is in the Microsoft partner network, check internally before buying a pass at the public rate.
