TOKEN2049 Dubai by the numbers

Every figure links to where it came from. Attendance for an event that has not happened is a projection, and each row says so rather than presenting it as a count.

What is TOKEN2049 Dubai?

TOKEN2049 Dubai is the Gulf half of the TOKEN2049 franchise, the other being Singapore in the autumn. The 2027 dates are 21 to 22 April at Madinat Jumeirah. The conference itself is only two days, but it anchors a week with more than 500 side events across the city, and for a large share of attendees the side events are the entire reason to travel. Over 70 per cent of attendees are described as C-level.

Who goes to TOKEN2049 Dubai?

Exchanges, protocols, funds, market makers and infrastructure providers, with an unusually senior skew: the organiser puts C-level attendance above 70 per cent across 4,000-plus companies from more than 160 countries. Dubai's regulatory position has made it a base for a lot of the industry, so a meaningful share of attendees live there rather than flying in.

TOKEN2049 Dubai side events

This is the defining feature. More than 500 side events run across Dubai during the week, from protocol parties in Marina and JBR to fund breakfasts in DIFC, almost all free and almost none run by TOKEN2049 itself. Many people work the week without ever buying a conference ticket. The official listing covers only a fraction. Aspire does not run any of them.

TOKEN2049 Dubai tickets and costs

Ticket tiers were not published on the page checked for this entry, so no price is quoted here; TOKEN2049 has historically sold in rising tiers, making late purchase expensive. Madinat Jumeirah is a resort complex rather than a convention centre, which makes the venue pleasant and the surrounding hotels costly. Late April in Dubai is hot, in the high thirties, and the side-event circuit runs late into the night.

Getting to Madinat Jumeirah

Dubai International is about 30 minutes to Madinat Jumeirah outside peak, and Al Maktoum is a similar distance from the other direction. The venue is in the Jumeirah resort strip rather than the city centre, so it is not close to the metro; taxis and ride-hailing are the practical options and they queue badly at closing time.

Where to stay for TOKEN2049 Dubai

The Madinat Jumeirah resorts put you at the venue and are priced accordingly. Marina, JBR and Downtown are all common bases and each is roughly 15 to 25 minutes away, with Marina and JBR closest to the bulk of the evening side events. DIFC suits anyone whose week is more fund-oriented than protocol-oriented.

What to know before booking TOKEN2049 Dubai

The conference is two days but the week is five, and budgeting only for the badge misreads the event. Note also that some listings still carry an April 2026 date for the Dubai edition; the entry here follows the organiser's current 2027 dates. If you are choosing between editions, Dubai in April skews Gulf, European and Asian, while Singapore in the autumn skews Asian and North American.

Do I need a ticket to benefit from TOKEN2049 week?

Many people work the week without one. More than 500 side events run across Dubai, most of them free and organised independently of TOKEN2049. The conference badge buys the two-day floor; it does not gate the surrounding week.
