What is VivaTech?

VivaTech is Paris's flagship technology event, held each June at Porte de Versailles. The 2027 dates are 16 to 19 June, running Wednesday to Saturday in Hall 7. It combines a large corporate exhibition floor, a startup village organised largely by national and corporate pavilions, and a keynote programme that reliably lands a few genuinely major names. The Saturday opening to a wider public audience is what separates it from a pure trade show.

Who goes to VivaTech?

European corporates and their innovation teams, startups exhibiting from accelerator and national pavilions, investors, and a large contingent of students and general public toward the end of the week. It is broader and more consumer-facing than Slush or Web Summit, and considerably more corporate: the largest stands belong to French and European industrial groups rather than software companies.

VivaTech side events

Paris fills that week with investor breakfasts, national delegation receptions and startup parties across the 15th, the Marais and along the Seine, none of them on the official programme. Several embassies and trade bodies run their own delegation events tied to their pavilion. The official schedule covers Hall 7 only. Aspire does not run any of those nights.

VivaTech tickets and costs

Doors are 09:00 to 18:00 across all four days. The first days are the trade-focused ones and the closing Saturday broadens out, so if you are there to take meetings, front-load your week. Ticket tiers were not published on the pages checked for this entry, so no price is quoted here. June in Paris is warm and Porte de Versailles has limited shade in the queue.

Getting to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 7

Metro line 12 to Porte de Versailles puts you at the entrance, and tram T2 and T3a also serve it. From Charles de Gaulle allow an hour or more; Orly is considerably closer. The venue is inside Paris proper, which makes it easier to reach than most European exhibition centres.

Where to stay for VivaTech

The 15th arrondissement around the venue is convenient and unremarkable. Montparnasse is a short metro ride and better in the evening. Central Paris is entirely workable on line 12. Paris hotel rates in June are high regardless of the conference, so the usual advice to book early applies with more force than most cities in this directory.

What to know before booking VivaTech

The attendance numbers circulating for VivaTech - commonly around 200,000 - come from third-party listings rather than an official page, and this directory does not repeat them as organiser figures. Also note the hall: Porte de Versailles is a very large complex hosting several concurrent events, and arriving at the wrong entrance costs a serious walk. VivaTech is Hall 7.
