What is SuperReturn?

SuperReturn International is the private capital industry's largest annual gathering, run by Informa Connect at the InterContinental in Berlin each June. The 2027 dates are 7 to 11 June. It is a fundraising event above all else: general partners raising funds, limited partners allocating, and placement agents in between. The stage programme exists, but the actual product is five days of scheduled meetings, and everyone experienced treats it that way.

Who goes to SuperReturn?

General partners across buyout, growth, venture and credit; limited partners including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and funds of funds; plus placement agents, fund administrators, lawyers and consultants. The 2026 edition reported 2,500-plus LPs and 3,000-plus GPs from more than 80 countries. It is senior and it is expensive.

SuperReturn side events

Berlin fills that week with GP-hosted dinners, LP breakfasts and firm receptions across Mitte and Charlottenburg, almost none of them on the official schedule and most of them invitation-only. For many attendees the private meetings are the entire reason for the trip and the conference badge is simply the excuse to be in the city. Aspire does not run any of them.

SuperReturn tickets and costs

Packages are booked through Informa Connect. No public 2027 package price was displayed when this page was last checked, so none is quoted here - SuperReturn is historically among the most expensive tickets in this directory, running to several thousand euros, and prices rise in tiers. The event spreads across the InterContinental and nearby hotels. Berlin in June is warm and the city is busy.

Getting to InterContinental Hotel Berlin

Berlin Brandenburg airport is about 40 minutes to the InterContinental by road or a little longer on the S-Bahn plus a short transfer. The hotel is in Tiergarten, walkable to Potsdamer Platz and Zoologischer Garten. Berlin taxis are plentiful but the June conference peak makes them slow around the hotel entrance.

Where to stay for SuperReturn

The InterContinental itself sells out first and earliest. Tiergarten, Mitte and Charlottenburg all put you within a short ride. Because so much of the week happens in hotel bars and private dining rooms, staying near the cluster matters more here than at a convention-centre event where everything happens in one hall.

What to know before booking SuperReturn

The value is entirely in meetings booked before you arrive. Attendees who turn up expecting to network organically get very little for a five-figure trip. The organiser runs meeting-scheduling tooling and the serious firms start working it weeks ahead. Note too that SuperReturn is a family of events - North America, Asia, Middle East, Energy Transition - and Berlin is the flagship, not the only one.
