What is Web Summit Vancouver?

Web Summit Vancouver is Web Summit's North American event, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The 2027 dates are 25 to 28 May. It is the successor to Collision, which Web Summit ran in Toronto before moving the North American edition west. The format is the familiar Web Summit one: a large startup exhibition floor rotating by day, multiple stages, and an app-driven meeting system that does most of the actual work.

Who goes to Web Summit Vancouver?

Startups exhibiting on rotating day passes, investors, corporate innovation teams and a substantial press contingent, which is the Web Summit house style. The North American positioning pulls in more US west coast attendance than the Lisbon flagship, and Vancouver's own tech and gaming industry supplies a strong local base.

Web Summit runs an official night programme, and Vancouver's downtown fills with investor breakfasts, national delegation receptions and startup parties around Coal Harbour and Gastown during the week. Web Summit's own side-event listings cover only what it sanctions. Aspire does not run any of those nights.

Getting to Vancouver Convention Centre

Vancouver International airport connects to downtown by the Canada Line SkyTrain in about 25 minutes, arriving a short walk from the convention centre. The venue sits on the waterfront at Canada Place. It is one of the more straightforward venues in this directory to reach without a car.

Where to stay for Web Summit Vancouver

Downtown Vancouver, Coal Harbour or Yaletown all put you within walking distance of the convention centre. Rates in late May are climbing toward the summer peak but Vancouver is not as constrained as Lisbon during Web Summit week, so booking is less fraught than at the flagship.

What to know before booking Web Summit Vancouver

This event replaced Collision, and a good deal of older material still refers to the Toronto event as if it were current. If you attended Collision, this is where it went. Web Summit's exhibition passes rotate startups by day, so if you are exhibiting, confirm which day you have before booking flights around it.
