What is ADE?

Amsterdam Dance Event is the electronic music industry's annual business week, held across venues throughout Amsterdam from 21 to 25 October 2026. Most coverage treats it as a festival, and the nightly programme genuinely is one. The reason it belongs in a business directory is the other half: ADE Pro is a full conference where labels, agents, promoters, publishers and platforms do the year's dealmaking. 2026 is the thirtieth edition.

Who goes to ADE?

Labels, booking agents, promoters, publishers, streaming platforms and brand partners on the professional side, and a very large public audience on the festival side. The two halves overlap in the same city on the same nights but are bought separately, and confusing them is the most common mistake made in planning the week.

ADE side events

The distinction between official and unofficial barely holds here. Hundreds of parties and label showcases run across the city each night, some inside the official programme and many not, and the professional daytime programme sits on top of all of it. Amsterdam is compact enough that people move between several in a night. Aspire does not run any of them.

ADE tickets and costs

ADE Pro is the pass to buy if you are attending for business: it covers the conference, the festival and the networking programme. Pricing rises in tiers as the event approaches and group and company rates are available on request, so buying late and buying individually are both the expensive route. No standard tariff was displayed on the page checked, so no figure is quoted here. Amsterdam in late October is cold and wet, and the city is compact enough to walk or cycle between venues.

Getting to Venues across Amsterdam

Schiphol is roughly 15 to 20 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal by direct train. Once in the city the venues are spread across the centre, north and west, and trams, the metro and bicycles all beat a car. Several official venues sit across the IJ in Noord and are reached by the free ferry.

Where to stay for ADE

Anywhere central, accepting that ADE prices the whole city up for the week. Booking well ahead matters more here than at a single-venue conference, because the event has no campus to be near: what you want is proximity to a tram line, not to a hall.

What to know before booking ADE

Book accommodation before the pass. ADE fills Amsterdam completely and rates rise across the whole city for the week, which catches out people who treat it as a festival trip to be arranged casually. Note too that a festival ticket alone does not admit you to the conference, so if the reason you are going is professional, the Pro pass is the purchase that matters.
