What is F1 Singapore?

The Singapore Grand Prix is round 17 of the 2026 season, run at night on public roads through Marina Bay from 9 to 11 October. It is in this directory for the same reason as Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi: the race anchors a corporate week. Singapore's financial district physically hosts the circuit, so the hospitality suites are in the buildings people already work in, and a large amount of business gets done that weekend by people who watch very little of it.

Who goes to F1 Singapore?

Team sponsors and their guests, regional corporate hospitality, Asian institutional finance and family offices, and the racing audience. Because the circuit runs through the CBD, the event is unusually integrated with the city's working population rather than staged at a venue outside it.

Getting to Marina Bay Street Circuit

Changi is about 20 minutes to Marina Bay outside peak, and the MRT reaches the area directly. During the race weekend road closures through the CBD are extensive, so the MRT and walking beat any vehicle. Check which roads are shut before booking a transfer.

Where to stay for F1 Singapore

Marina Bay and the CBD put you inside or beside the circuit, at a substantial premium, and several hotels have rooms and function spaces overlooking the track. Orchard and the river are a short MRT ride and considerably cheaper. Rooms inside the circuit footprint sell out well ahead.

What to know before booking F1 Singapore

The night format is not a gimmick: it exists so the race broadcasts into European morning television, and it means the track action runs into the evening while the corporate programme occupies the day. If your reason for being there is commercial, that is the useful part of the schedule. Note also that Singapore sits close in the calendar to the region's autumn conference season, so many attendees are already travelling.
