Fruit Attraction by the numbers
Every figure links to where it came from. Attendance for an event that has not happened is a projection, and each row says so rather than presenting it as a count.

What is Fruit Attraction?
Fruit Attraction is the international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, run by IFEMA Madrid with the Spanish producer federation FEPEX. The 2026 dates are 6 to 8 October at IFEMA Madrid. Unlike the general food fairs in this directory, it is narrow and deep: fresh produce, the logistics and packaging around it, and the buyers who source it. Spain's position as one of Europe's largest produce exporters is why the fair is there.
Who goes to Fruit Attraction?
Growers, cooperatives, exporters and marketing organisations exhibiting, and retail buyers, importers, wholesalers and food service sourcing teams attending. The 2025 edition drew 121,000 trade visitors across 152 countries. It is a working sourcing floor for a sector that trades on relationships and annual contracts.
Fruit Attraction side events
IFEMA runs its own congress and technical programme alongside the halls, and Madrid fills with producer association receptions and national delegation hospitality during the week. Because the sector is organised around cooperatives and regional producer bodies, much of the informal programme is arranged by origin country rather than by product. Aspire does not run any of it.
Fruit Attraction tickets and costs
Registration is through the official professional pass link. No price was displayed on the page checked, so none is quoted here. This is a trade fair rather than a public event. Madrid in early October is warm and dry, one of the better months to be there. IFEMA is a very large complex and Fruit Attraction uses a substantial share of it, so expect a lot of walking.
Getting to IFEMA Madrid
IFEMA Madrid has its own Metro station, Feria de Madrid on Line 8, which runs directly to Barajas airport in about ten minutes and into the city centre with one change. It is among the best-connected exhibition centres in this directory, with the airport effectively next door.
Where to stay for Fruit Attraction
The hotels immediately around IFEMA are convenient and characterless. Central Madrid is 20 to 30 minutes on Line 8 and far better in the evening, which is where most international visitors stay. Madrid has deep hotel supply, so rates hold up better during trade fairs than in smaller host cities like Cologne or Cannes.
What to know before booking Fruit Attraction
The fair sits in a crowded October window: Fruit Attraction, Advertising Week New York and SuperReturn Middle East all fall in the same fortnight, and in odd years Anuga follows immediately. Within the produce sector itself the fair is close to unmissable, but if you also work adjacent categories, plan the month rather than the week.
Fruit Attraction: common questions
When is Fruit Attraction 2026?
6 to 8 October 2026 at IFEMA Madrid in Spain. It runs three days. The organising committee confirmed in July 2026 that the show had already exceeded the total attendance figures of the previous edition.
How big is Fruit Attraction?
The 2025 edition drew 121,000 trade visitors and more than 2,400 exhibitors from 152 countries across 162,000 square metres. That floor area is among the largest of any event in this directory.
How much does it cost to attend Fruit Attraction?
No entry price was displayed on the official page checked for this entry, so no figure is quoted here. Registration runs through the professional pass link on ifema.es, and the fair is restricted to trade visitors.
Who organises Fruit Attraction?
IFEMA MADRID organises it in collaboration with FEPEX, the Spanish federation of fruit and vegetable producers and exporters. Aspire has no role in running it. The official page sits on ifema.es.
How is Fruit Attraction different from Anuga or Gulfood?
It is narrower. Anuga and Gulfood span the whole food and beverage industry across many sectors; Fruit Attraction is fresh produce specifically, plus the packaging and logistics around it. Produce exporters generally attend it in addition to, not instead of, the general fairs.
How do I get to IFEMA Madrid?
The Feria de Madrid station on Metro Line 8 serves the venue directly and connects to Barajas airport in about ten minutes. It is one of the most convenient airport-to-exhibition-centre connections of any event listed here.
