What is HANNOVER MESSE?

HANNOVER MESSE is the world's principal industrial technology trade fair, run by Deutsche Messe AG at the Hannover exhibition grounds. The 2027 dates are 5 to 8 April, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 6pm. It covers mechanical and electrical engineering, industrial automation, digital manufacturing and the energy systems around them. If Anuga is where food is sourced, this is where factories are.

Who goes to HANNOVER MESSE?

Manufacturing and engineering companies exhibiting, and industrial buyers, plant engineers, automation specialists and procurement teams attending. It draws a heavily technical and heavily European audience, with substantial national pavilions. Germany runs a partner country programme each year that shapes a meaningful part of the floor.

National pavilions and industry associations run their own receptions and delegation programmes through the week, and Deutsche Messe operates a conference and forum programme alongside the halls. Hannover is a small city hosting a very large fair, so the informal programme is concentrated and easy to find. Aspire does not run any of it.

Getting to Messegelaende Hannover

The Messegelaende has its own station, Hannover Messe/Laatzen, with trains from Hannover Hauptbahnhof taking around ten minutes, and tram line 8 also runs to the grounds. Hannover airport is about 30 minutes away. The city sits on the ICE network, so Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt are all straightforward rail connections.

Where to stay for HANNOVER MESSE

Hannover is a small city hosting an enormous fair, and accommodation is the perennial problem: rates rise sharply and supply runs out early. Many attendees stay in Braunschweig, Hildesheim, Hamburg or even Berlin and commute in by ICE, which is a normal and accepted approach rather than a last resort.
