KBW by the numbers
Every figure links to where it came from. Attendance for an event that has not happened is a projection, and each row says so rather than presenting it as a count.

What is KBW?
Korea Blockchain Week is Seoul's crypto week, organised by FACTBLOCK, running 29 September to 1 October 2026 at Walkerhill. The main conference sits inside a wider week of more than 300 side events across the city. Korea has one of the most active retail crypto markets in the world, and KBW is the point at which the international industry comes to meet it, which gives the event a different character from the Gulf and Singapore weeks.
Who goes to KBW?
Protocols, exchanges, funds and infrastructure teams from across Asia and internationally, plus a substantial Korean contingent of developers, traders and domestic exchanges. The 2025 edition drew more than 13,000 attendees. The announced 2026 speaker list spans industry figures and institutional names, which reflects how far the audience has broadened.
KBW side events
More than 300 side events are planned across Seoul for 2026, concentrated in Gangnam and around the Walkerhill site in Gwangjin. As at TOKEN2049, most are free, most are organised independently of FACTBLOCK, and a large share of attendees work the week without ever entering the main conference. Aspire does not run any of them.
KBW tickets and costs
Tickets are sold through the official ticketing portal. No tier pricing was displayed on the pages checked, so none is quoted here. Walkerhill sits on the eastern edge of Seoul above the Han river rather than in the centre, which is pleasant but means a commute to the Gangnam side events. Late September and early October is Seoul's best weather, mild and dry.
Getting to Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts
Incheon International is roughly an hour to Walkerhill by road, and Gimpo is closer at about 45 minutes. The nearest subway is Gwangnaru on Line 5, with a shuttle or short taxi up the hill to the resort. Seoul's subway is fast and cheap and is generally the better option over road at peak.
Where to stay for KBW
Walkerhill itself if you want to be at the venue, though it is isolated from the city's nightlife. Gangnam or Jamsil put you nearer the bulk of the side events at the cost of a daily commute to the conference. Many attendees who prioritise the side-event circuit over the main stage stay in Gangnam deliberately.
What to know before booking KBW
The venue is not central. Walkerhill is in Gwangjin, a fair way east of the districts where most side events cluster, so plan for Seoul traffic or the subway rather than assuming a short walk. Note also the calendar clash: KBW overlaps almost exactly with SuperReturn Asia in Singapore and Bits & Pretzels in Munich, so the last week of September is genuinely contested.
KBW: common questions
When is Korea Blockchain Week 2026?
29 September to 1 October 2026 at Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts in Seoul. The main conference runs three days, with a wider week of more than 300 side events across the city around it.
How many people attend Korea Blockchain Week?
The 2025 edition drew more than 13,000 attendees with 340-plus speakers, per the organiser. For 2026, FACTBLOCK projects over 300 speakers across 100-plus sessions and more than 300 side events.
How much is a KBW ticket?
No tier pricing was displayed on the pages checked for this entry, so no figure is quoted here. Tickets are sold through the official portal at tickets.koreablockchainweek.com rather than through third-party resellers.
Who organises Korea Blockchain Week?
FACTBLOCK, a Korean digital asset ecosystem company. Aspire has no role in organising it and does not run any of the side events around it. The official site is koreablockchainweek.com.
How does KBW compare with TOKEN2049?
Similar scale, at roughly 13,000 to 15,000 attendees each, and both anchor a large independent side-event week. KBW gives access to the Korean market and its domestic exchanges specifically, which TOKEN2049 does not.
Is Walkerhill central in Seoul?
No. It sits in Gwangjin on the eastern edge of the city above the Han river, some distance from Gangnam where most side events cluster. Budget for subway or taxi time rather than assuming everything is walkable.
