What is NVIDIA GTC?

GTC is NVIDIA's AI and accelerated computing conference, returning to San Jose from 15 to 18 March 2027. It has become one of the most consequential events in technology, largely because NVIDIA's keynote has turned into the industry's reference point for where AI hardware is going. As of checking, NVIDIA had announced the dates and the city but had not opened registration or named a venue.

Who goes to NVIDIA GTC?

AI and machine learning researchers, infrastructure and data centre architects, robotics and autonomous vehicle engineers, and a growing contingent of enterprise buyers and investors drawn by NVIDIA's position in the AI supply chain. It is a technical conference with an unusually large financial and executive audience layered on top.

Getting to San Jose

San Jose Mineta airport is close to the downtown area where GTC has historically been held, typically 10 to 15 minutes by road. San Francisco International is roughly an hour south by car or via Caltrain plus a transfer. Confirm the venue once NVIDIA names it before booking on the assumption of a downtown location.

Downtown San Jose, if the event follows its usual pattern, though NVIDIA had not confirmed a venue when this page was written. San Jose hotel supply is limited relative to demand during GTC and rates rise sharply. Santa Clara and Sunnyvale are common fallbacks with a short drive or light rail ride.
