What is EthCC?

EthCC, the Ethereum Community Conference, is Europe's largest and longest-running annual Ethereum event, organised by Ethereum France. The tenth edition runs 12 to 15 April 2027 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. It is a community and developer conference rather than an institutional one, and its move from Paris to Cannes - where the Palais des Festivals will host it through 2028 - reshaped the surrounding week considerably.

Who goes to EthCC?

Ethereum developers, protocol researchers, layer-two teams, application builders and the funds that back them. EthCC has a stronger technical and community character than the institutional crypto conferences elsewhere in this directory, and the talk programme reflects that: protocol and research content rather than keynote announcements.

EthCC side events

The week around EthCC is dense with independently organised hackathons, workshops and parties, now concentrated along the Croisette and around the Palais since the move to Cannes. As with every major Ethereum week, much of the value sits in the side programme rather than the main stage, and almost none of it is run by Ethereum France. Aspire does not run any of it.

EthCC tickets and costs

April in Cannes is mild and pleasant and well before the summer peak, but the Palais des Festivals also hosts the Cannes Film Festival and Cannes Lions, so the city's accommodation market is experienced at charging conference rates.

Getting to Palais des Festivals et des Congres

Nice Cote d'Azur airport is about 30 minutes by road, with a direct bus and a train connection via Nice-Ville. The Palais des Festivals is on the seafront in the centre of Cannes and everything is walkable from it. Driving and parking in central Cannes during a Palais event is not worth attempting.

Where to stay for EthCC

Central Cannes near the Croisette keeps you walking distance from the Palais and the side events. Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Nice are all cheaper and connected by train, adding 20 to 40 minutes each way. Cannes has limited hotel stock for a town that hosts events of this size, so book well ahead.

What to know before booking EthCC

The venue has changed and older guides are out of date. EthCC ran in Paris for most of its history and moved to Cannes, where Ethereum France has committed to the Palais des Festivals through 2028. Note also that Cannes is a small town: accommodation supply is far tighter than Paris, so book earlier than the conference's own ticket release might suggest.
