What is VidCon?

VidCon is the creator economy's own conference, held at the Anaheim Convention Center each summer. The 2027 dates are 8 to 10 July. It sits in this directory because of the industry half: platforms, brands, agencies, MCNs and the people who buy creator work all attend, and it is one of the few places that market gathers in one building rather than negotiating over email.

Who goes to VidCon?

Three audiences that barely overlap. Fans come for the creators. Creators come for the craft and the networking. Industry, meaning platforms, brands, agencies and talent management, comes to do business. VidCon has historically sold these as separate tracks, and which one you hold determines almost everything about the experience.

VidCon side events

Platforms and brands run activations and parties around Anaheim through the week, and the industry programme carries its own networking outside the main halls. As at most events this size, a meaningful share of the useful conversation happens in the hotel bars adjacent to the convention centre. Aspire runs none of it.

VidCon tickets and costs

Buy on the track, not the badge price. If your reason for attending is commercial, an industry pass is what gets you into the programme where that happens; a community pass is a fan experience and will not. Getting to Anaheim Convention Center

John Wayne Airport in Orange County is about 20 minutes away and is the convenient option; Los Angeles International is roughly an hour depending on traffic. The Anaheim Convention Center is walkable from the surrounding hotel cluster, and a car is not needed once you arrive.

Where to stay for VidCon

The hotels immediately around the convention centre, which are numerous because of Disneyland next door. That proximity cuts both ways: supply is deep, but rates are shaped by theme park demand as much as by the conference, so July is expensive regardless.

What to know before booking VidCon

The single most common mistake is buying the wrong track. The community and industry experiences are so different that people describe VidCon in contradictory terms depending on which they attended. Confirm what your pass admits you to before booking flights, and note that Informa runs VidCon editions outside the US as well, so check the city on any listing.
